Below is a table linking to details of planning applications within the Rochester South and Horsted ward, giving the application case reference, date, location, description, the Case Officer, and whether it will be decided by Council staff or at the Development Control Committee. For convenience in seeing the latest applications, they are listed in reverse date order so that the most recent entry appears first. The list will shortly be brought fully up to date, but is now mostly in place.

Please be aware that, prior to 1^st May 2003, only applications relating to the former Horsted ward were listed here.

If you wish to make any representations concerning any of the applications listed below you can do so via email to planning.representations@Medway.gov.uk, quoting the case reference; a link has been provided for this purpose. A link has also been provided for enquiries to the Planning Officer directly, but this is not an alternative for representations, which should always go to the email address above. From January 2007 onward, clicking on the application reference in these pages will take you to the council's web page for the application (which is only a recent facility at the council) from which scanned copies of the application form, plans and drawings, and supporting documents can be viewed and/or downloaded, as can the Decision Notice (with any imposed conditions included) once a decision has been taken.

In some circumstances an application that was to be decided by Council staff can be referred to the Development Control Committee for decision. This will happen automatically if there are a three or more objections to the proposal, but if there are good grounds for Council members to make the decision the ward member(s) can request an application to come before the Committee. Ward members can also ask to speak about the case at that Committee, which is an additional way to convey residents' views to the decision-makers.

Once the cases (accessed by month and year from the table below) have been decided the decision will be recorded against the application's details in the relevant monthly page. The date where any application can be found is the month and year when it was received at the council's Planning Department.

Please note that under current legislation only the applicant can appeal against a planning application decision.
