Refuse Collection ChangesWith the rolling-out of the recycling "blue boxes", the pattern of refuse/recyclables collection will need to change.
This is just another step in the direction of bringing the whole service into the new era that was begun with the awarding of the new (very good!) contract some nine months ago.
The changes will take effect from the week beginning 23rd June 2003, and already half-page advertisements have started appearing in the local newspapers. Leaflets have today started to be delivered to every home in Medway, and on top of this a letter is going out to every household whose day will change. For the first two weeks of the new arrangements there will additionally be a radio advertisement campaign on KMfm Radio.
