Horsted College Makes Planning ApplicationThe planning outline application for the Mid-Kent College site has now been made to Medway Council as the local planning authority. It is for an even higher number number of anticipated dwellings than was suggested at the public meeting at the College back in May of this year. The outline application proposes that the principle of up to nearly 800 properties be approved, mostly flats as the public was shown in May, but even more densely packed.
At a public meeting to be held at the Davis Estate Community Centre in two weeks time, fuller details of what has now been submitted in the formal planning applicaton will be provided. This will be especially useful to local residents who did not go to the May event, but all are welcome, and invitations will shortly be delivered to something like 1,500 households in the vicinity of the college campus. .
