The council's Trading Standards Team has been notified, and they warn residents not to fall prey to these highly-trained and very persuasive and persistent sales people.
There is a very simple rule to apply when confronted by such methods: would a truly legitimate business feel it necessary to resort to such tactics? Of course not, and there is no excuse for it, ever.
